Candidates who believe their IELTS result may not accurately reflect their performance can request an Enquiry on Results (EOR), commonly referred to as a remark.
An EOR request must be submitted within six weeks from the date of the test. Requests received after the deadline cannot be accepted. If the final submission date falls on a weekend or holiday, the request should be submitted before 9:00 AM on the previous working day.
Please note that an IELTS test can only undergo the remark process once. IELTS tests are highly reliable and errors rarely occur.
Log into your Test Taker Portal here.
Complete your EOR payment to initiate the remark.
EORs are non-refundable, unless a score change is warranted.
If you experience issues accessing the portal or need help with the application process, please contact your test centre directly. An EOR request form may also be available upon request for email submission.
The review process can take between 2 and 21 days depending on the sections selected for reassessment.
Once the review is complete, you will receive an email confirmation regarding the outcome.
If your score changes, a revised Test Report Form (TRF) will be issued after the previously issued TRF is returned.Refund Policy
EOR fees are refunded only when there is a change in the band score.
Candidates who remain unsatisfied after the EOR outcome may request information regarding the appeals process by contacting their test centre.
