IELTS Cancellation Policy

IELTS cancellation and refund terms depend upon when you cancel and whether exceptional circumstances apply.

Transfers
You are eligible for transfer within 3 months from the original test date.

Transfer requests received more than 3 weeks prior to the test date will be charged a transfer fee of up to 25% of the cost of the test.

Transfer requests received less than 3 weeks prior to the test date due to a medical condition will be rescheduled and will be charged a transfer fee of up to 25% of the cost of the test (Proof of circumstance must be provided, such as a letter from the local health authority or a physician).

Transfer requests from an IELTS on computer to an IELTS on paper test received more than 3 weeks prior to the original test date will be charged a transfer fee of up to 10% of the cost of the test.

Enquiry on Results (EOR)
If you are not happy with your result, you can request a review of your score(s) through a service called an Enquiry on Results.

During the review process:
  • Test papers are re-marked by senior Examiners/Markers
  • You will need to pay an Enquiry on Results fee, which is fully refunded if your band score changes.

Enquiry on Results fee: $142.50

Your results can become available on the same day as your application and up to 21 days after your application. The time it takes depends on several factors, including the number of sections you’ve asked to re-mark. If you have not received a response after 21 days, please contact us.
